Tram, Bus, Train & Airport transfers

Local Bus & Tram Connectivity

Maison Trianon is excellently linked to the regional transit infrastructure. You can easily manage local trips without a car using the local network.

  • The Closest Stop:Postillon, located just a short walk away directly on Avenue Jean Jaurès.

  • The Bus Lines: This stop is serviced by Line L2 and Line 5.

    • Line 5 is a highly convenient cross-border line. You can board it heading west to go directly into central Valenciennes, or catch it heading east to cross the border straight to the Quiévrain Train Station in Belgium.

  • Connecting to the Tram: While the tram lines do not run directly inside Quiévrechain, you can take Line 5 or Line L2 from the Postillon stop into Valenciennes. There, you can seamlessly transfer onto the Transvilles Tramway (Lines T1 and T2) to navigate the wider metropolitan area.

Train Travel & Airport Transfers

Because Maison Trianon sits right on the Franco-Belgian border, your departure station depends entirely on whether you are traveling through France or Belgium. Heading to the correct station will save you hours of unnecessary backtracking.

Heading West / Into France (Via Gare de Valenciennes)

For trips into France, catch a local bus or take a 15-minute drive west to the Valenciennes Train Station.

  • Lille-Lesquin Airport (LIL)

    • Duration: ~35 to 45 minutes.

    • Line to take: Take the TER Regional Train directly from Valenciennes toward Lille-Flandres. Most of these frequent services stop directly at Lesquin Station, where a quick 5-minute taxi or shuttle connection brings you straight to the terminal gates.

  • Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG)

    • Duration: ~1 hour 33 minutes on the fastest high-speed connections (averaging around 2 hours).

    • Line to take: Take the TGV or TER train from Valenciennes to Lille-Europe or Arras. From there, change directly onto the high-speed TGV Haute-Vitesse line, which pulls straight into the Aéroport CDG 2 TGV station located right beneath Terminal 2.

Heading East / Into Belgium (Via Gare de Quiévrain)

For trips into Belgium, skip Valenciennes entirely. Head 3 minutes east across the border by car or via Bus Line 5 to the Quiévrain Train Station to tap into the Belgian National Railway (SNCB) network.

  • Mons (Belgium)

    • Duration: ~30 to 34 minutes.

    • Line to take: Take the direct SNCB Local / Intercity train straight from Quiévrain to Mons. It is a completely direct, stress-free route running roughly 20 times a day, dropping you right into the heart of the historic Belgian city.

  • Brussels Zaventem Airport (BRU)

    • Duration: ~1 hour 51 minutes on the fastest services.

    • Line to take: Board the SNCB train from Quiévrain heading toward Brussels. You will make just 1 easy connection at Brussels-South (Bruxelles-Midi) or Brussels-Central, hopping straight onto the frequent airport shuttle train that drops off directly inside the Zaventem terminal basement.
